Role Overview The Compliance Engineer at Camlin Group will ensure that products, systems, and processes meet all relevant regulatory, safety, and quality standards across global markets. This role bridges engineering, quality, and regulatory functions, supporting the development and deployment of compliant, safe, and high-quality technology solutions. Key Responsibilities Regulatory & Standards Compliance • Ensure compliance with relevant international standards (e.g. ISO, IEC, EN, UL, CE, UKCA, FCC as applicable). • Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into engineering and product specifications. • Maintain compliance documentation for product certification and audits. Product & Engineering Support • Work closely with R&D and Engineering teams to embed compliance into product design. • Review technical documentation, schematics, risk assessments, and test plans. • Support design reviews and change control from a compliance perspective. Risk & Quality Management • Conduct risk assessments (e.g. hazard analysis). • Support safety and reliability assessments for new and existing products. • Contribute to quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001) Testing & Certification • Coordinate product testing with internal teams and external test houses. • Support type approval, certification, and conformity assessments. • Investigate non-conformances and drive corrective actions. Audit & Governance • Support internal and external audits. • Maintain compliance registers and technical files. • Keep up to date with changing legislation and industry standards. Required Skills & Experience Essential • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Systems or similar). • 2 years’ experience in a compliance, regulatory, quality, or engineering role. • Strong knowledge of engineering standards and regulatory frameworks. • Experience with technical documentation and audit processes. • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Desirable • Experience in regulated industries (energy, transport, infrastructure, industrial IoT). • Familiarity with CE/UKCA marking and global certifications. • Knowledge of functional safety or cybersecurity standards. • Experience working with notified bodies or test laboratories.
