This role is in support of Cencora's global pharma consulting services marketed through our PharmaLex business.
Responsibilities
* Group controller responsible for end-to-end finance activities for all Phlexglobal entities (UK, US, Poland, India).
* Responsible for month-end close procedures including preparation of month-end activities to a WD 3 close process, preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, providing financial insights and leading a team of professionals.
* Ensure compliance with regulations and policies, communicate financial results and collaborate to meet responsibilities for General Ledger, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Fixed Asset ledger.
* Oversight, review and coordination of group reporting on a monthly basis.
* Balance sheet reconciliation and review.
* Prepayments and accruals.
* Intercompany reconciliations.
* Reviewing and approving journals.
* Cost Centre reporting and allocation.
* Payroll review.
* Cash management.
* Management and development of direct reports.
* Coordination with the FPA team.
* Local Tax and other compliance reporting for each entity.
* Statutory accounts preparation and annual audit management.
* On‑going enhancement, development and documentation of current processes and controls.
* Other ad‑hoc projects and queries.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
* CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of cumulative experience in accounting role.
* Proficiency in utilizing ERP systems such as Netsuite or D365 system is a plus.
* Fully qualified accountant with proficiency in country-specific GAAP as well as US GAAP.
Skills and Knowledge
* Advanced level knowledge of Excel.
* Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to assimilate and summarise financial information in an appropriate context.
* Strategic and commercial acumen, as well as the ability and willingness to be hands‑on.
* Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi‑disciplinary, diverse, dynamic team.
* Experience in working with Shared Service Centre as well as a matrixed organisation.
* Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting.
* Demonstrated experience of multi‑currency entity consolidations.
* Experience should include legal, audit, compliance, budget, and resource development.
* Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, and guiding regional investment in people and systems.
* Proven effectiveness leading professionals in finance and accounting.
* Experience managing a team in different locations is desirable.
* Technologically savvy, with an ability to point to examples of having worked with IT staff to develop and implement new processes and systems that increased efficiency in a fast‑moving environment.
* Willingness to travel.
