West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and motivated Domestic Assistant to join our Adult Social Care Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-established Council, providing essential domestic support to ensure the comfort and well-being of our service users.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Domestic Assistant, you will be responsible for:
* Carrying out domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a hygienic and pleasant living environment for our service users.
* Supporting the delivery of care by ensuring that domestic needs are met.
* Working under the guidance of qualified professionals to contribute to the overall well-being of service users.
* Maintaining accurate records of tasks completed and reporting any concerns to the appropriate team members.
Skills and Attributes
* The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* A positive and caring attitude towards supporting individuals with their domestic needs.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with service users and colleagues.
* Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to deliver high-quality care.
* Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a domestic setting.

* You will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement starting at 27 days per annum (plus public holidays) Rising by an additional 5 days after 5 years' service.
