The Locum Consultant Gastroenterologist role is a fixed‑term, 12‑month post within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Gastroenterology Service (pan‑NHSGGC directorate). This is an exciting opportunity to support a modern, consultant‑led service across the region, working with existing consultant colleagues to deliver excellence in gastroenterology.
Responsibilities
* Participate in the Acute Upper GI bleeding on‑call rota at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
* Contribute to pan‑NHSGGC service delivery, including inpatient sessions in the Clyde sector and outpatient sessions within South Sector and Clyde, as per individual job plan.
* Deliver high‑quality, novel services across NHSGGC.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration and license to practice.
* UK trained candidates: evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or within 6 months of confirmed entry, or equivalent training for non‑UK applicants.
