Full Time Sales Executive (England, 2 positions available)


At The Scottish Fine Soaps Company, we blend gorgeous ingredients with contemporary Scottish style to create bath and beauty collections that will make you look, feel and smell fantastic.

We're a family-owned business of 4 generations and manufacture 99.5% of our products from our site in central Scotland.

Since Scottish Fine Soaps was founded in 1974, we’ve been searching Scotland and the world for inspirational ingredients with unique fragrances and beauty benefits.

We are now looking for an experienced Field Sales Executive to join our close-knit team to expand our customer base and continue the superb service we provide to our existing customers.


The position is based at home with typically 4.5 days “on the road”. The other half day is typically spent on Admin and planning.

We are offering a competitive salary, bonus scheme, company car and company credit card for business use.


The successful applicant will have some sales experience already, ideally in the luxury toiletries area, but relatable experience is also valued. Full driving license essential. They will have reasonable computer skills with programs like word, excel or PowerPoint. They will be self-motivating, enjoy autonomy, and thrive on the job satisfaction & financial rewards that come from their efforts. It is a large area so they will need to stay away from home to cover the area effectively, possibly 3 to 5 nights a month depending on location.


Purpose of position

• Maximise sales within designated territory.

• Territory England (2 positions available)

• Enhance reputation of Scottish Fine Soaps with customers.


Key Objectives

1. Identify best retailers in territory.

2. Decide appropriate call frequency.

3. Establish efficient journey plan (target 6 calls per day).

4. Take direct orders (target 60% strike rate).

5. Improve listings / merchandising / point-of-sale in-store.

6. Train and encourage store staff to recommend our products.

7. Record appropriate customer information on database

8, Fill in weekly reporting and other paperwork in good time

9. Analyse customer performance and identify opportunities using Phocas software.


Other responsibilities

• Set up bespoke promotional activity with larger accounts.

• Attendance at trade shows and sales meetings.

• Monitoring / reporting of competitor activity.

• To assist where required in other functions necessary for the running of the business.
