About The Role
Our Transport Supervisor will work closely to the Transport Manager, Regional Manager and Outbase Mangers ensuring that we have the right vehicles in the right place, at the right time. Liaising closely with external suppliers, including dealerships and vehicle suppliers, you will manage relationships for maintenance, fleet support and additional vehicle requirements. You will also liaise regularly with our commercial department continually helping to explore new ways to improve out vehicles and develop modifications as our business expands.
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
1. As our Transport Supervisor you will ensure that our day-to-day running of the transport department runs effectively at all times and that any tasks set by the transport manager have been achieved.
2. You will do this by;
3. Maintaining the company licences in each different traffic area
4. Ensure all fleet is up to date on the VOSA database
5. Ensure we have the right management teams on each licence
6. Help to manage the company MOT pass rate- to prevent any detrimental effect on company OCRS
7. Regular maintenance agent review meetings nationally bringing relevant contracts
8. Continuously improvement in maintenance of vehicles ensuring full legal compliance
9. Communicate with vehicle manufactures and leasing companies with future vehicle and trailer specs
10. Promote H&S culture by ensuring that employees work in a way that reduces risk. A good understanding of H&S legislation is preferable
A Few Things About You
WHAT WILL I BE EXPECTED TO DELIVER?
A our Transport Supervisor you will be need to provide on-going support to RM’s and OM’s with any vehicle issues and remain up to date with transport legislation and cascade to the RM’s and OM’s.
