Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in our nursing home ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for those in your care. Strong communication skills in English are essential, as you will be interacting with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and overall health.
* Implement and follow care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions.
* Drive to various locations if required for home care visits or training sessions.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in care practices.
Skills
* Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively.
* Ability to drive is preferred for roles that involve home visits.
* Excellent communication skills in English to interact with residents and colleagues effectively.
* Empathy and patience when dealing with individuals requiring assistance.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when necessary.
