Overview
An excellent opportunity to join the Mental Health Management Team in Fife as Lead Nurse for Specialist Mental Health Services. The role covers services across a number of hospital and community settings within Fife.
You will be a Registered Mental Nurse with current NMC registration and evidence of continuing professional development to degree level or equivalent, with significant experience at Band 7 within a mental health care setting. You will be a visible clinical leader committed to service redesign and transformational change in line with NHS Fife Clinical Strategy, the Health and Social Care Partnership’s Strategic Plan, and national nursing priorities.
Responsibilities
* Provide operational line management to support delivery of high standards of safe, effective and person-centred care within a robust framework of clinical, financial and staff governance.
* Support co-production and engagement of the workforce and service users in developing services.
* Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues across health, social care, independent and voluntary sectors to facilitate partnership working and deliver high-quality mental health services in Fife.
* Act as a positive professional role model and support the development of nursing practice, professionalism, and Excellence in Care.
* Work with the Clinical Service Manager and Head of Nursing to develop sustainable services and a holistic approach to health and wellbeing within mental health services.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Mental Nurse with current NMC registration.
* Evidence of continued professional development to degree level or equivalent.
* Significant experience at Band 7 within a mental health care setting.
* Strong knowledge of current mental health policy and evidence base.
Other Requirements
* Existing permanent employees must discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager; secondment policy applies. External applicants with continuous NHS Service must also have a secondment agreement from their current board to apply for this post.
* PVG scheme clearance prior to appointment is required.
