Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

A leading provider of technical and facilities services is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with plumbing experience to join the on-site team at a high-profile commercial office building in the City of London. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a modern workspace operated by a major financial organisation.
Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical and plumbing maintenance across a prestigious office facility. You will carry out a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, with a focus on plumbing systems, drainage, heating systems, and general mechanical plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on all plumbing and mechanical systems.
Respond to issues involving pipework, drainage, sanitary systems, pumps, valves, and heating infrastructure.
Undertake minor plumbing installations and modifications, including copper, plastic, and steel pipework.
Support fault-finding and resolution across mechanical systems including AHUs, FCUs, and HVAC plant.
Ensure all compliance tasks are completed and logged accurately, including water hygiene and flushing.
Liaise with the helpdesk, contractors, and site stakeholders to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
Maintain accurate records and documentation via CAFM and reporting systems.
Support emergency call-outs and participate in a shared call-out rota if required. What We're Looking For:
City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating or Mechanical Engineering.
Solid plumbing background with experience in commercial or large-scale buildings.
Good working knowledge of HVAC, heating systems, drainage, and water safety regulations
