Job: Management Accountant Job Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen in Ireland for a Management Accountant; this role will be based at Warrenpoint supporting the Irish Region. Role Overview Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller, this role supports the delivery of high-quality financial and management information to drive strategic decision-making for the Irish region within adhered time periods. You will contribute to financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement while assisting in the efficient running of day-to-day finance operations. Key Responsibilities • Support the Regional Financial Controller across: o Management reporting and financial analysis o Investment appraisal and variance analysis o Financial data manipulation and systems development • Balance sheet reviews, personnel reconciliations, KPI reporting • Assist with month-end close processes, including: o Preparation of monthly management accounts o Analysis of actuals vs budget and forecast o Journal postings, stock analysis, accruals and prepayments • Preparation of weekly and monthly reporting packs and work with manufacturing teams • Support accounts receivable and payable activities as required • Assist with year-end reporting and audit preparation: o Liaise with internal and external auditors o Ensure timely and accurate audit deliverables • Assist with preparation of the annual budget • Identify and support process improvements and system enhancements Role Requirements • Experience supporting month-end processes and management reporting • Strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines • Ability to prioritise, plan and organise work effectively in a busy environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong team player with a proactive and flexible approach • Ability to travel between sites. •F ull driving licence Essential Criteria • Qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or actively studying with a recognised accountancy body • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role Desirable Criteria • 5 years’ experience in a similar role • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems Applications : If you believe you have the necessary skills and qualifications, please apply via Workday.
