Road Coordinator - Highways / Infrastructure

Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum
Our client, a leading infrastructure services provider, is looking for a Road Coordinator to support their Roads Team with effective road space management and project coordination across a major network.
The Role
Reporting to the Road Manager, you'll manage road space permits, coordinate with third parties (utilities, developers, councils), and support internal project delivery with strong admin, compliance, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
·Raise/close road space permits on Street Manager
·Apply for Temporary Traffic Orders (via TfL/local councils)
·Liaise with external stakeholders and internal teams
·Issue weekly Road Space Bulletins and winter service notices
·Manage licence applications, abnormal load requests, and claim registers
·Attend meetings, take minutes, and support incident reporting
·Maintain trackers, registers, and document control
·Support fleet, stock, and depot coordination
·Follow procurement processes and raise purchase orders
Requirements:
·Strong admin skills and attention to detail
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office
·Proactive, organised, and clear communicator
·Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
·Team player with a flexible approach
·Full UK driving licence
·Degree or training in business admin/project management is desirable
·Experience in highways, permitting, or infrastructure support, and knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts is preferable
·Familiarity with Street Manager, procurement systems, or asset management software is preferable but not essential
