The Role We are seeking an experience Commercial Officer to join our dynamic team with a strong understanding of commercial best practice and to be able to confidently support the commercial process from cradle to grave. This role reports directly to the Commercial Director, working closely with Operational, Business Development and Business Support Partner Teams. This role will require the successful candidate to have, or be able to attain, Security Clearance and must have an existing right to live and work in the UK. Key Responsibilities Support the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of various contract document types across the supply chain, pre- and post-contract Develop and maintain key customer and supplier relationships Undertake Supplier Management activities, including on-boarding, contract management and off-boarding activities Support commercial strategy development and execution across all business areas Undertake contract negotiations, from bid to completion Ensure commercial governance and risk management compliance Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes Support our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) initiatives through inclusive commercial practices Contribute to our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and sustainable strategies The Ideal Candidate will have A Degree/Diploma/Vocational qualification in Commercial/Contract Management, Business Administration/Law or relatable field (preferable but not essential) Demonstrable knowledge and experience of commercial contracts and agreements is essential (3 years (minimum)) Excellent contract negotiation and stakeholder management skills Demonstrable commercial awareness and business acumen Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and people skills Strong understanding of government and commercial frameworks (desirable) What We Offer Competitive salary package Agile working arrangements Willing to travel to support the needs of the business as and when required Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Comprehensive benefits package Regular personal development reviews Investment in professional qualifications and training Mentoring and coaching programmes Opportunity to work on high-profile projects Inclusive and supportive work environment Active ED&I networks and initiatives If you are an experienced commercial professional looking for an autonomous role where you can make a real difference, while helping our customers maximise asset value and optimise availability, we want to hear from you.
