An established and rapidly growing renewable energy specialist is seeking an experienced Solar / EV Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team delivering high-quality residential installations across Suffolk.

The Role
You’ll take a lead role in the installation, testing and commissioning of Solar PV, battery storage systems and EV chargers, primarily on domestic projects, with some general electrical work as required.
While there is an element of field service work, your week will typically be focused on single locations, allowing you to work efficiently and deliver installations to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, test and commission Solar PV and Battery Storage systems
* Install EV charging points and undertake associated electrical works
* Lead on-site activity, delegating tasks and supporting junior engineers and apprentices
* Diagnose electrical faults using specialist testing equipment and resolve effectively
* Interpret technical drawings, schematics and manufacturer documentation
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
* Ensure all works comply fully with health & safety regulations and industry standards
What We’re Looking For
* Fully qualified Electrician / Electrical Engineer with extensive Solar PV and battery storage experience
o Experience across multiple manufacturers and system types essential
* Strong understanding of MCS requirements and documentation
* 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification – essential
* Confident leader with the ability to oversee work on site
* Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving and attention to detail
* Comfortable working at height
* Professional, polite, tidy and customer-focused
* Full UK driving licence
o Points and convictions must be declared
Location
* Work is exclusively within Suffolk
* Based from a head office near Martlesham
* No nationwide travel or contracting-style schedules
What You’ll Receive
* £45,000 – £49,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
* Company van and fuel card
* Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week
