This leading Data & Insights Consultancy has a great pipeline of projects and is seeking a Senior Data Engineer Consultant to join their consulting team. In this client-facing role you will apply hands-on data engineering skills across a variety of challenging projects and deliver data and analytics solutions that drive business impact.
Responsibilities
* Implement end-to-end reporting, analytics and data solutions for a variety of customers, from large enterprises to small start-ups.
* Lead and contribute to exciting and complex projects, taking ownership of deliveries including requirements gathering, problem understanding, design, building solutions, reporting and analysis through to go-live and training.
* Apply broad data skills to design and deliver solutions and observe the impact on the end client.
* Build and implement technical data solutions using a variety of data tools and platforms.
* Consult with clients on approach and suitable technologies.
* Provide technical project leadership, requirements gathering, delivery and documentation.
* Write code and build solutions.
* Manage junior consultants on deliveries.
What is required
* Experience as a Data Consultant or Engineer delivering data solutions, ideally in a client-facing consultancy environment.
* Strong hands-on technical skills spanning data engineering, data integration and data migration; able to adapt to different tools and technologies per project needs.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills; evidence of leading or playing a key role in delivering data solutions, managing projects and mentoring junior colleagues.
* Experience in designing data solutions, writing code, and documentation.
* Proficiency with tools including but not limited to: MS Fabric, Databricks, Azure, SQL, Tableau / Power BI.
* Knowledge of data modelling and general IT architecture and systems integration; familiarity with Azure Data Factory, RedShift, Informatica, Qlik or similar is useful. Oracle OBIEE and/or Oracle Analytics Cloud is highly desirable but not essential.
* Proactive self-starter with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Rewards
A highly competitive salary of £60,000-£80,000 (dependent on level of experience) plus an annual bonus of £5k-£8k (paid quarterly) and a private medical plan, pension (up to 5% matched), and other perks such as a mobile phone allowance.
This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely; office visits in Surrey once per week and occasional visits to the London Bridge office may be required.
