An engineering company based in Peterborough is looking to expand their team by hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer. This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects within a supportive and growing design team.
The Mechanical Design Engineer Will Ideally Have The Following
: Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
: 2+ years of experience in mechanical design
: Proficiency with 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks)
: Knowledge of materials, fabrication, and manufacturing processes
: Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
: Good communication and teamworking skills
: Attention to detail and a proactive attitude
The Mechanical Design Engineer Role Will Involve
: Designing components and assemblies using CAD
: Creating and updating technical drawings and BOMs
: Supporting product development from concept through to manufacture
: Liaising with other departments to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
: Modifying existing designs based on performance feedback or customer requirements
: Contributing to continuous improvement within the design function
