ROLE- Machinist LOCATION- Stoke TERM- Permanent SALARY- £35,000- £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience) My client works within the engineering manufacturing sector, and they are looking to take on a CNC Machinist, on a permanent basis, in the Stoke area. The CNC / Machinist will ideally have the following attributes: Time served Engineer (NVQ/ Apprenticeship/ City & Guilds qualification ideally) Ideally 2 years’ experience or more in a similar engineering manufacturing / machine shop environment Experience of working with CNC, milling, turning or manual grinding Experience of working with Fusion360 programming or 5 axis machining would be desirable Be able to work with MS Office Good communication skills Have the ability to read/ interpret engineering drawings The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team The CNC / Machinist role will involve: Being responsible for the machining of one off engineering components Working to the right standards and specifications Interpreting engineering drawings Writing CNC machining programs (turning/ milling/ grinding) Helping to train apprentices or less experience team members Assisting with other general manufacturing activities Helping to drive the companies Continuous Improvement program Maintaining high standards If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
