Production Operative in Precision Assembly - Door Lock Manufacturing
Location: Carlisle
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Pay: 12.60 per hour
Do you have great attention to detail and a steady hand? We're looking for a skilled and focused individual to join our production operative team in a hands-on role assembling high-quality door locks.
About the Role:
You'll be part of a small, dedicated team responsible for assembling precision components including cutting keys, fitting pins, and building lock barrels. This is delicate, detail-driven work - ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands and takes pride in getting things just right.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Assembling cylinder door locks with precision and care
* Inserting tiny pins into lock barrels to exact specifications
* Cutting and fitting keys to match lock configurations
* Ensuring products meet strict quality standards
* Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
* Following safety and production procedures at all times
What We're Looking For:
* Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
* Ability to work with small components accurately
* Patience and focus - this is precision work, not production line speed
* Previous experience in a similar assembly or fine motor skill role is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided
