We are looking to recruit a permanent, full time (37hrs) Social Worker to join our Mental Health Services for Older People Team within Sedgefield Locality Team. The Team enjoys excellent working relationships with colleagues in Health and other statutory and non-statutory organisations. WHAT IS INVOLVED? As a Social Worker within the Mental Health Services, you will work with older people with mental health needs. You will work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team, including Community Psychiatric Nurses, Medical staff, Occupational Therapists and Support Workers. You will be able to work to a hybrid model working pattern and we encourage new working practices which will continue to be more flexible, dynamic, agile and efficient, utilising technology in our work wherever possible. It is expected that the successful candidate will have experience of working within Adult Social Care, together with an up-to-date knowledge of multi-agency working and the associated adult care agenda. Required qualifications: Degree in SW, Dip SW, CSS or CQSW or equivalent, plus Social Work England registration (or be applying for registration). Applicants must be willing to consider undertaking AMHP training, and to act on the AMHP rota when warranted. This role is customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, you will therefore be required to demonstrate the ability to speak fluent English. This is a requirement under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016. Please refer to the attached person specification for the full criteria. If successful, you will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
