Hague and Dixon Solicitors LLP are seeking to recruit a full or part-time legal secretary for the York office. There is scope for progression within the firm for the right candidate.

The position shall include but is not limited to:

* Preparation of correspondence and documents through audio typing and word processing
* Use of case management system
* Receiving and directing telephone calls
* Greeting clients on arrival and directing them to the appropriate fee earner
* Switchboard duties
* Maintaining diaries and making appointments when required.
* Photocopying documents
* Outgoing post
* File management in accordance with Quality Procedures Manual, CQS and Lexcel requirements to include filing and other clerical duties
* Compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct and SRA Accounts Rules
* Ensure the confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and information
* To maintain high standards in the processing of client work, both in respect of professional
* standards and client care
* Liaising with clients

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS.

Ideally, a candidate would have:

* A willingness to learn
* A desire to work in an office environment.
* Strong Organisational skills
* Excellent Word processing skills and Computer Literacy
* Reliable
* Trustworthy
* Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision

Competitive salary based on experience, and statutory holiday entitlement.
