Senior Network Engineer – Network Transformation Projects (Central London)
Roc Technologies is growing — and we’re looking for a talented Senior Network Engineer to join our Transformation Services team.
If you’re passionate about delivering modern, high-performance LAN, wireless, and security solutions — and want to see the real-world impact of your work across public sector environments — this is your opportunity to be part of something meaningful.
As a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering large-scale network transformation programmes. Your initial focus will be on a high-profile Local Government and Police Network Transformation Programme in Central London.
Working within a collaborative, expert-led team, you’ll take ownership of implementation, testing, and deployment activities — ensuring solutions are robust, secure, and fit for purpose.
You will:
* Lead and support the implementation of campus LAN and wireless network solutions
* Plan and coordinate deployment activities across complex environments
* Develop and execute test strategies and scripts to validate network performance and resilience
* Contribute to detailed low-level designs following discovery and high-level design phases
* Pre-stage, configure, and deploy network hardware and software components
* Work closely with project managers, service leads, and customers to ensure successful delivery
* Produce high-quality “as-built” documentation and support transition into live operations
What You’ll Bring
* 5+ years’ experience implementing LAN and wireless technologies in enterprise or campus environments.
* Strong experience with Juniper, HPE, and Palo Alto technologies.
* Working knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
* Understanding of change control processes and technical documentation.
* Up-to-date networking accreditations (Juniper, Aruba, or equivalent).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable:
* Accreditation in Juniper (JNCIA / Mist), Aruba ClearPass, or firewall vendors.
* Experience supporting project transition into live operations.
* Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, and perimeter security.
* SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
