Your new companyOur client is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their company, an IT & Electrical Contractor based in Loughborough.Your new roleAs the Accounts Assistant, you'll provide essential administrative and bookkeeping support to the accountant; this is a pivotal role, where you will be expected to support with the Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Credit Control, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations. Your responsibilities may include:
* Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger duties.
* Sending and paying invoices.
* Query resolution.
* Cash book/cash flow management.
* Monitoring customer accounts, chasing payments, and managing credit limits.
* Managing outstanding debts and minimising credit risk.
* Reviewing aged debt reports.
* Reconciling supplier statements.
* Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
* Handling correspondence, filing, and printing.
* Maintaining accurate and detailed customer records.
* Building rapport with clients.
* Assisting with month-end duties.
* Communicating across all levels of the business.
What you'll need to succeed
