We are seeking a talented Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our Engineering team and help develop the next generation of cutting‑edge subsea instrumentation including acoustic modems, velocity logs, data loggers and other advanced sensing products. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full hardware lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and support, in a highly innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
* Bring strong experience in digital (FPGA/MPU) and analogue circuit design, focusing on low‑power, low‑noise systems.
* Lead hardware design reviews, compare engineering approaches, and select the best solutions for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
* Apply a solid understanding of EMC principles, design‑for‑compliance, and perform hands‑on EMC testing.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to well‑structured, supportable, and extensible designs.
* Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support across engineering and production, maintaining quality and driving continuous improvement.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Expertise in analogue and digital circuit design, including simulation and low‑power techniques.
* Competence in EMC design and testing (e.g., EN60945 and related standards).
* Hands‑on debugging of electronics and embedded systems.
* Embedded C (competent) and C++ (basic understanding).
* Proficiency with Altium for schematic capture and awareness of PCB design best practices.
* Strong documentation, communication, and cross‑team collaboration skills.
Qualifications:
* 2:1 degree or above in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
