We have an exciting opportunity for a Benefits Officer to join us! This is a full-time, permanent role with flexible working conditions and hybrid working (dependent upon experience), offering a salary of £28,193 to £32,104 per annum. About Us

The Role

As part of the Revenues and Benefits Service, you will play a key role in providing high-quality services to residents requiring financial assistance with rental liabilities and/or Council Tax. Your Responsibilities

Processing Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support accurately and efficiently using the Capita Academy processing system and Civica document management system. Managing applications for discretionary housing payments. Candidate Requirements

Proven skills and experience in a customer-facing environment with the ability to meet demanding performance targets. Knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively. Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines, independently and as part of a team. Ability to stay updated with relevant legislative changes. Conscientious attitude with strong attention to detail. Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure. Enthusiastic about delivering excellent results. Flexible approach to accommodate changing priorities. What We Offer
