We are looking for a well qualified, experienced and creative Room Leader. A level 3 childcare qualification or above is required for this role.
We are a friendly, professional day Nursery in Sidcup, Kent (DA14 4LW ). Walton House Nursery Supports learning and care for children aged 3 months - 5 yrs. You will be DBS checked, must be flexible and enthusiastic, with good communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support and communicate well with all staff
* Liaise with and support parents/carers
* To be involved in and out of working hours activities, e.g. training, staff meetings
* To be flexible within working practices of the Nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the Nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc.
* Work alongside the Supervisor's on each floor and staff team
* Ensure child is collected by someone known to Nursery
* To respect the confidentiality of information received
* Washing and changing children as required
* To ensure the Nursery of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development
* To be aware of the high profile of the Nursery and to uphold its standards at all times.
* To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring Nursery policies and procedures are observed at all times.
What We're Looking For:
Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
Previous experience working within an Early Years setting - ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, Safeguarding and Child Protection
Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to excellence.
