Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust are currently recruiting for a Fixed Term Domestic Assistant based at Leigh Infirmary.
Working Monday to Friday, 17.5 hours per week, 16:30 - 20:00.

This vacancy is open to all internal and external candidates. NHS Employees should ideally secure their manager’s agreement for a secondment arrangement prior to applying, as this will be a condition of any offer made. This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term basis for 10 months to cover maternity leave and will end 16.08.2026 or when the substantive post holder returns. While advertised on a fixed term/secondment basis, there is potential that this post may become permanent in the future. Responsibilities
* Carry out specific cleaning and other related duties, following set procedures and standards to provide and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital and designated wards or departments.
* Perform domestic duties including general cleaning, isolation cleaning, high and low dusting, wet and dry mopping, cleaning toilets, baths and washbasins.
* Empty clinical and general waste bins and place bags in designated areas.
* Vacuum cleaning, scrubbing and buffing floors with mechanical machines, and carpet shampooing.
* Use chemicals and cleaning equipment responsibly and within health and safety guidelines.
* Maintain staff and public safety through appropriate use of warning signage while cleaning.
Training
Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
