Behaviour Mentor – Secondary Pupil Referral Unit – Manchester
Location: Central Manchester
Pay: £89 – £100 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Teaching Personnel is working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in central Manchester to recruit a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils aged 11–16 who require alternative education provision.
This is a challenging but highly rewarding role for someone who has the confidence, patience, and understanding to work with young people who present behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with challenging behaviour
* Helping students develop emotional regulation and positive relationships
* Supporting lesson engagement and building rapport with hard-to-reach learners
* Working closely with the SENCO, behaviour lead and pastoral team
* De-escalating incidents using calm and restorative approaches
We welcome applicants from:
* Youth work, coaching, psychology, or social care backgrounds
* Graduates in Psychology, Sports, Criminology or Education
* Former teaching assistants or care workers looking for a new challenge
* Anyone with experience supporting young people with SEMH needs
Full safeguarding training will be provided. This role has scope to lead to a permanent position or future teacher training for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
