Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated EV Improver to support our fully qualified EV Installer with the installation, testing, and maintenance of electric vehicle charging systems.
This role is ideal for someone who is electrically qualified (Level 3) and holds their 18th Edition, looking to gain hands-on experience and progress within the growing EV charging industry. You'll assist in delivering high-quality installations across domestic and commercial sites while developing your technical skills and understanding of EV systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the qualified installer with EV charger installations, testing, and maintenance.
* Carry out cable runs, terminations, and general electrical installation work under supervision.
* Help prepare sites and ensure installations are completed to a high standard.
* Conduct basic electrical checks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Follow wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and installation procedures accurately.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in line with health and safety standards.
* Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient and professional service delivery.
Requirements
* Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (or equivalent).
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
* Practical experience in electrical installation or maintenance.
* Good understanding of electrical systems and safe isolation procedures.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and communicate effectively.
* Full UK driving licence preferred.
* EV experience beneficial but not essential — full training provided.
