Commonswood Primary & Nursery School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team. This is a rewarding role combining classroom support with after-school care, ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Role Details:
Hours: 12:50 pm – 6:00 pm (Mon–Thu), 12:50 pm – 5:00 pm (Fri)
Contract: Fixed Term (with potential for permanent)
* Classroom Teaching Assistant (12:50 pm – 3:10 pm):
Working alongside teachers to provide high-quality learning support. This can involve one-to-one assistance, small group work, or whole-class support, ensuring every child has the opportunity to achieve their best.
* After School Club Assistant (3:10 pm – 6:00 pm, 5:00 pm on Fridays):
Supervising and engaging pupils in a safe, fun, and stimulating environment at the end of the school day.
What We’re Looking For
* A nurturing and positive approach to working with children.
* Imaginative, enthusiastic, and hardworking, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Minimum GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
* Childcare qualifications or relevant experience.
* Adequate subject knowledge of the primary curriculum.
