Role Overview
As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you’ll help meet our young peoples’ emotional needs. Our young people have challenging emotional and behavioural needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, SEMH, and BESD. You’ll ensure they receive high standards of care by working with families, developing individual programs, and creating a positive learning environment where every young person can thrive.
Candidate Profile
* Experience working with young people with BESD or ASD in educational or care settings.
* Good listening skills, motivation, teamwork, and the ability to inspire young people.
* Flexibility and strong organizational skills.
About Luxborough Court School
A purpose-built school for 150 pupils aged 5–19 with ASD, featuring extensive facilities including a sports hall, 6th form suite, therapeutic spaces, outdoor areas, and playgrounds.

Requirements
* Experience with ASC, ADHD, or SEMH pupils and working with families in challenging circumstances.
* Knowledge of legislation, safeguarding, and child protection policies.
* NVQ Level 3 in Care or Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
