Summary ofRole:
Contracts professional ableto manage a portfolio of contracts across multiple sub-businessarea within Raytheon UK, supporting the Cyber, Space and Trainingand/ or Weapons and Sensors business. The role requires theindividual to be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of thebusiness.
The candidate should be able to workwithout appreciable direction, exercises some latitude indetermining approach to managing routine and non-routine Contractsof moderate value and complexity. The role will require theindividual to undertake proactive contract management and whenrequired support and/or lead bidding activities to deliverproposals to customers. The individual should be able to interfaceinternally and externally at various levels of theorganisation.
MainDuties:
* Preparation andbriefing of Contract Management Plans and Strategies/Plans atbusiness area and programme level.
* PostContract Management of complexcontracts
* Development of innovative contractsolutions in support of responses to customer proposal requests(RFP/ITT/ITN's etc )
* Provide support and inputinto PQQ's
* Negotiates non-standard contracts/agreements and changes
* Able to identify,interpret and advise strategy for dealing with terms andconditions
* Identifies and manages risk andopportunity, working collaboratively with Customers and otherproject team members
* Responsible for programmefinancial management associated with contractobligations
* Responsible for monitoring andreporting contract compliance and performanceobligations
* Responsible for forecasting cashmilestones and timely raising of invoices forpayment
* Data management and maintaining formalrecords of contractual transactions andcorrespondence
* Functional representative atcustomer reviews providing the required contractsinputs
* Able to fully represent the function atall business level reviews (e.g, MRB's, Programme reviews, GateReviews, etc ).
* Produces business cases/briefing materials for senior managementreviews
* Supports relationship managementinitiatives
* Ability to work on Defence,Commercial, Space, Training, Aerospace and Cyber relatedcontracts.
* Undertakes proactive contractsmanagement
CandidateRequirements:
Essential:
* Possessequivalent work experience. Your expertise speaks foritself.
* Sound understanding of UK MoD Terms andConditions, government contracting or civil Commercialterms,
* Ability to work in a teamenvironment
* Excellent verbal and writtencommunications
* Can demonstrate a soundunderstanding of the contract managementprocess
* Have experience working on a range ofdifference contracting types, such as Service Delivery,Development, Production, Time & Material, Fixed &Firm Price.
* Ability to think and act beyondcontracts management/contracts biddingresponsibilities
* Able to create a detailed flowdown of terms and conditions for the Supply Chain to create thesubcontract
* Strong task management skillset
* A good understanding of risk management,programme Gating and reportingmetrics
* Experience and understanding ofprogramme financial management
* Takesresponsibility and follows through on tasks to ensure completion,understands and properly prioritises tasks, delivers qualityproducts on schedule
* Participates in/ leadsfunctional improvement activities
* Ability tolead contracts management activity and interventions whennecessary
Desirable:
