Role Title: Lead Product Manager BU/Segment: Analytics / Data Management / Retail Location: Leeds, United Kingdom Employment Type: Permanent We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex, data-driven products across multiple feature areas and business domains. This role will be responsible for defining product strategy, driving monetisation and commercial growth, and ensuring scalable, interoperable product design aligned with business objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, design, data, and business stakeholders to define product requirements, solve complex design challenges, and deliver high-impact product roadmaps. You will use customer insights, market trends, and data-driven analysis to prioritise initiatives, guide strategic decision-making, and optimise product performance and adoption. This role also involves coordinating Product Managers across multiple products, ensuring clear objectives, effective delivery planning, and measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial awareness with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives while partnering effectively with technical teams to deliver scalable and innovative product solutions. As part of your duties, you will be responsible for: Represent and communicate the vision, value, and strategic direction of data products across the assigned business vertical and wider organisation. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and end-users across business, engineering, and data science teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery. Act as a bridge between cross-functional squads and business units, translating business needs into actionable data product strategies, capabilities, and delivery plans. Provide guidance and oversight to vendor-supplied squad members to ensure consistent delivery quality, alignment to standards, and a strong focus on value realisation Define, maintain, and communicate a clear roadmap for data products, balancing short-term MVP delivery with longer-term strategic objectives. Prioritise initiatives based on business value, technical feasibility, and user needs, ensuring transparent and structured decision-making. Identify and manage delivery dependencies across squads and teams to ensure timely and predictable product releases. Ensure that planning artefacts, backlogs, and roadmaps are maintained to a high standard and aligned with organisational governance processes. Facilitate effective collaboration between data engineering, analytics, governance, architecture, and business teams to ensure cohesive and aligned delivery. Ensure consistency of data definitions, quality expectations, and usage policies across all data products produced by the vendor. Lead discovery sessions, cross-functional workshops, and requirement-gathering activities to validate assumptions and ensure a value-focused product direction Promote a shared understanding of data product capabilities and updates through documentation, demonstrations, and structured stakeholder engagement. Define, track, and report on KPIs that demonstrate the success, adoption, and performance of data products. Evaluate business value delivered and incorporate feedback to refine future iterations of data products. Work with business and finance stakeholders to support benefit quantification, including ROI assessments and cost-benefit analyses of data initiatives. Ensure data products actively contribute to strategic outcomes such as operational efficiency, enhanced decision-making, improved customer experience, or revenue enablement. Stay informed about emerging trends in data, AI, and product management, integrating relevant advancements into product strategy and delivery approaches. Identify opportunities to enhance scalability, efficiency, usability, and innovation within data products. Encourage structured experimentation and continuous improvement initiatives that drive better outcomes and reduced complexity. Experience and Education required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in IT, Computer Science, Data/Analytics, or a related field. 10 years of experience with at least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role. Experience working Agile frameworks and processes, ideally in a large product led organisation. Strong ability to communicate and champion the vision, value, and strategic direction of data products while building strong relationships with senior stakeholders. Skilled at translating business needs into actionable product strategies, delivery plans, and prioritised roadmaps. Strong leadership and oversight capability to guide vendor-supplied teams and ensure consistent, value-focused delivery aligned to standards. Effective cross-functional collaborator, facilitating alignment between engineering, analytics, governance, architecture, and business teams. Competent in defining, tracking, and reporting KPIs to measure product success, adoption, and realised business value. Strategic thinker who identifies opportunities to enhance scalability, usability, efficiency, and innovation within data products. Advocates for continuous improvement, data literacy, and responsible data usage to support organisational adoption and self-service analytics. Preferred Experience: Demonstrated success and track record in building data monetisation products. Strong business acumen and comfort in complex ecosystems. Experience working in Agile environments with strong understanding of the frameworks and processes. Must demonstrate an agile mindset and ability to pivot quickly in response to new information or changing market conditions. Understanding of Product lifecycle and Product Development Lifecycle approaches Experience with project management tools or platforms (e.g. Confluence, Jira, Aha! Or Pendo). Excellent communication and presentation skills, including delivering training both in-person and remotely. SAFe Product Manager certifications.
