Whether you are based in Newbury or New York - Tottenham or Toronto - we want to hear from you Your skillset, formed in the engineering construction industry, will allow you to lead cost and commercial management service delivery for major programmes in role of Commercial Director / Lead. Your responsibilities will include: Accountable for the leadership, coordination, and delivery of all facets of major programme cost and commercial management service delivery, duties and obligations across the programme lifecycle and sector typology. Leading the implementation of market leading cost and commercial service delivery, practices, concepts, principles and strategies to ensure the attainment of the overall programme vision and objectives. Accountable for defining and implementing an appropriate commercial delivery environment including people, organisation, process, information, governance, compliance, service excellence and technology. Responsible for determining and assembling the right diverse programme team with the right skills, experience, capabilities, and technical competency, including any required external specialist appointments. Responsible for delivering results in regard to on-time performance, cost savings, and quality; achieving programme objectives and value-added expectations; and compliance with established policies and procedures. Responsible for operating an effective risk management strategy, utilising analytic and quantitative decision analysis tools and techniques to influence programme decision making, strategy and insight. Operates as a trusted advisor at an executive programme level with an ability to interface and communicate at all levels within the client organisation, programme team, stakeholder and public environments. Key client relationship management, interface, communication and constructive challenge. Responsible for Client Relationship Management (CRM). Creates and nurtures a high-performing and inclusive team environment that encourages contribution and recognition. Engenders, promotes and influences quality and Service Excellence in all conversations and interactions. Responsible for improving performance from the bid baseline by optimizing resources and monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating activities, systems and methodologies. Responsible for conveying and connecting the wider business strategy and promoting the associated initiatives. Actively networks and utilises the full depth and knowledge of the business and Centres of Excellence to support commercial delivery. Actively promotes knowledge share with others. Builds and maintains internal and external relationships (e.g. clients, contractors, consultancies and other stakeholders) to foster growth and increase networks. Provides thought leadership and expertise in commercial management and execution. About you You have a relevant technical degree and have previously thrived in the delivery of multi-billion pound programmes of work. You will have lived and breathed the whole programme lifecycle, being as comfortable in set-up as you are in close-out. You have proven experience a track-record for Commercial leadership for major programmes and advanced technical understanding of commercial management concepts, principles, practices, controls, governance, as applied in the engineering and construction industry. You have leadership and management experience and can lead a large team. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead outstanding, diverse teams.
