We are looking for a Duty Officer, to join our friendly and professional team. Working with the Duty Managers and General Manager, you’ll ensure performance potential is optimised and all work is carried out to the highest standard while leading the team of Lifeguards at the busy leisure pool.
You will be responsible as a Duty Officer for the day‑to‑day running of the leisure centre to the highest standard and will be offered the full opportunity to develop all the skills required for a full‑time Duty Manager. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, ideally has experience of working in a leisure environment, but more importantly, someone who has passion and drive, and is able to think on their feet, keep calm under pressure and deal with people from all walks of life.

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday - Sunday (Rota basis)
Requirements
* RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
* Enhanced DBS check to be carried out
* Actively manage, develop and motivate a team of operational staff
* Be responsible for the day‑to‑day duty management and running of the leisure centre to the highest standard
* Contribute to and understand the business and budgetary performance of the centre
* Be a proactive member of the leisure centre team
* Show passion for the industry through continuous professional development
* Experience in problem‑solving, customer service and staff management
* Work flexibly with a level of autonomy and decision‑making confidence
* Be able to think on your feet and respond to variable demands
