A Purchasing Assistant is required by a FMCG/distribution business. Applicants need previous experience in, or knowledge of procurement and supply chain, be motivated self-starters and be competent in MS packages, particularly MS Excel. Hybrid. The Purchasing Assistant will join a team of Buyers and Senior Buyers led by a Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing Assistant will support end-to-end supply chain activities from order placement, through to outbound logistics to the customer managing suppliers and monitoring inventory levels throughout the process. Specific duties of the Purchasing Assistant include: Management of Purchase Order process - raising orders with suppliers/factories and expediting delays Coordination of inbound and outbound logistics processes Tracking and transferring of stock Maintenance of supplier, product and inventory data within MS Excel Support Buyers and Senior Buyers with their workload.
