About the Role
Your focus as Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator will be to provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well‑being and to promote a philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents.
Responsibilities
* Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
* Planning and submitting a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview to the Home Manager.
* Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
* Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
Ideal Candidate
* Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting.
* Experience organising activities and events.
* Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
* A positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
Required Checks
* A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
