Salary, Hours and Benefits
* £38,000 - £45,000
* Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
* 31 days holiday, rising with service

Location / Commute
Commute from Coventry, Solihull, Warwick, Stratford‑upon‑Avon or Rugby.
Candidate Requirements
* A strong grounding in measurement science, calibration practices and precision instrumentation.
* Experience within structured quality environments, ideally ISO/IEC 17025 or similar.
* Practical experience with GUM‑based uncertainty evaluations.
* Experience using calibration or laboratory management systems and technical data interpretation.
* Logical, methodical and analytical problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to operate independently and represent the business at company and customer sites.
* Clear communication, organisational skills and proficiency with standard IT tools.
* Leadership or mentoring experience is an advantage.
Responsibilities
* Support the Head of Calibration in day‑to‑day laboratory operations and team performance.
* Plan and prioritise workflow for efficient, high‑quality, cost‑effective calibration service.
* Carry out and lead calibration activities across mechanical and dimensional instrumentation, including method development and validation.
* Ensure full compliance with internal procedures, maintaining traceability to international standards and ISO/IEC 17025.
* Review and authorise calibration certificates, investigate non‑conformances and implement corrective actions.
* Provide technical leadership in dimensional metrology, including uncertainty analysis and maintenance of uncertainty budgets.
* Mentor staff, support audit activities and maintain laboratory systems, equipment and environmental controls for optimal performance.
