Join Our Team as a Residential Childcare Support Worker!
Salary:
* Unqualified: Base salary of £29,112.72, increasing to £30,008.16 upon successful completion of the probation period.
* Qualified: Base salary of £30,641.52 (for those with a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent).
Specific Hours: 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Location: Greater London (covering Camden, Haringey & Islington)

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in keeping our young people safe and helping them thrive. You’ll be a key figure in bridging the gap between Area Camden and the local community, promoting social inclusion and supporting young individuals with emotional and behavioral challenges to reach their full potential.
Main Responsibilities
* Collaborate with your team to create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes positive development.
* Provide emotional and social support, helping young people build meaningful relationships.
* Encourage self-esteem and ensure each young person feels respected and valued.
* Support young people in making positive life choices and achieving independence.
* Maintain accurate records of daily and monthly progress, including child protection and health and safety checks.
* Assess the needs of children and young people, formulating and reviewing care plans under your manager's guidance.
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including health advisors, social workers, and families.
* Assist with daily living needs in line with individual care plans.
* Engage in domestic duties, involving young people in meal planning and preparation for a balanced diet.
Required Attributes
* Ability to engage positively with young people.
* Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
* Sensitive and reflective, with strong listening and empathy skills.
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in the care sector or residential care is preferred.
* Committed to obtaining a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare if not already qualified.
* Willingness to work some Bank Holidays.
