Role Overview
A member of the reception team is often the first point of contact for staff, students and visitors (either in person or on the telephone), and as such is of central importance to the image that CJBS presents. The role holder needs to actively engage with the Schools' clients, students, programme participants and visitors to deliver the best customer experience. Our reception team is professional, courteous, presentable, friendly, attentive, efficient and prides itself on excellent customer service.
The receptionist team forms part of the wider facilities team, which is largely responsible for the smooth running of the School and its internal and externally focused activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive visitors to the School including potential students, programme participants, the general public and distinguished guests.
* Deal with telephone enquiries.
* Manage room bookings.
* Provide general support to the wider School.
* Handle parcel handling, visitor management, key/card access, telephone answering, stationery, stock management.
* Receive card payments for merchandise purchases.
Qualifications
* Good standard of general education.
* Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
* Proactive approach and problem-solving mindset.
* Ambition, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Computer literacy is a prerequisite.
* Experience at a reception desk would be beneficial.
Additional Details
This is a part-time position, offering 26 hours per week. This is a shift-based position with working hours spread over 4 days (including some Saturdays) and applicants must be flexible to cover varying hours in line with the needs of the business including occasional cover for sick leave.
