HOURS - 3 days - 8am-8pm - Monday - Sunday - alternating
Ivonbrook, Grove House and Darley Hall care Homes are independent residential care homes situated in their own grounds in Matlock in Derbyshire and can accommodate up to 60 residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
All duties are to be carried out in accordance with the Partnership's Policies, Procedures and Guidelines.
Produce an ongoing programme of events (in-house entertainment, external entertainers, group activities and outings) which are both mentally and physically stimulating and of interest to Service Users who wish to participate.
* Get to know individual Service Users, working with them, their key worker and visitors to develop an activities plan tailored to their needs and abilities, taking into account personal choice and any physical/mental disabilities. Aim to stimulate Service Users' participation in the day to day life of the home and find the balance between arranging activities that they like doing and suggesting/encouraging participation in activities that will expose them to new experiences.
* Always consult with Service Users, the Registered Manager and colleagues when planning and co-ordinating activities.
* Ensure that the individual social needs and hobbies of each Service User are identified and logged in care plans by key workers.
* Undertake any necessary risk assessments in connection with leisure and recreation and ensure the safety of Service Users at all times whilst enabling them to undertake activities of their choice.
* Ensure that the home has all necessary materials available for activities and ensure that these are kept neatly and available for use.
* Regularly promote leisure and recreation within the home.
* Encourage Service Users to maintain maximum independence.
* Encourage social interactions between service users and enable them to make use of any available recreational facilities.
* Maintain accurate records of leisure and recreation within the home.
* Work with activities implementers when planning and carrying out activities
* Provide support and guidance to colleagues
* Ensure Service Users' noticeboards are kept updated and tidy.
* Communicate with Service Users in a friendly and appropriate manner.
* Take responsibility for your own personal development and attendance at training (mandatory and service specific)
