Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Enfield
Type: Contract
Day Rate: £300 - £320 depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Duration: Until December 2025 with the view to be extended as a new project has been won
About the Company: My client is a well-established main contractor specialising in residential developments, including both private housing schemes. They have a strong reputation for delivering complex projects across London, focusing on collaborative delivery, craftsmanship, and community value.
The Project:
* Type: Residential – 49 Units (Flats & Townhouses)
* Status: Scaffolding stage
* Location: Enfield
Role Overview: We are seeking a strong Project Manager to take full site responsibility on a live residential scheme. The successful candidate will lead daily site operations, manage subcontractors and assistants, and report directly to the Senior Contracts Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day operations on site from start to completion
* Manage and coordinate subcontractors, including an assistant site manager and finishing foreman
* Liaise confidently and professionally with clients, consultants, and local authorities
* Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
* Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently
* Monitor health & safety, ensuring full compliance at all times
* Attend progress meetings and provide regular updates to the Contracts Manager
* Maintain quality control throughout all phases of the build
* Drive the project to meet programme deadlines and quality expectations
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or Project Manager on residential developments
* Ability to read drawings and communicate effectively across teams
* Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
* Experience working with council / social housing projects desirable
* Must be proactive, reliable, and able to take ownership of the site
* SMSTS and CSCS are essential
