Duties:
1. Lead the planning, creation, and execution of all pastry and dessert menus, ensuring variety and seasonal relevance
2. Supervise and mentor pastry chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team atmosphere
3. Oversee food production processes, including baking, Viennoiserie, food handling, and food preparation techniques to maintain top quality standards
4. Manage packaging of baked goods for retail, cafe and restaurant purposes with attention to presentation and safety
5. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain rigorous cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas
6. Coordinate with suppliers for ingredient procurement, focusing on quality control and cost efficiency
7. Develop innovative recipes that reflect current culinary trends while respecting traditional pastry techniques
8. Oversee catering events by preparing exquisite desserts that meet client specifications and expectations
9. Maintain inventory levels for all pastry ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
10. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests’ feedback and preferences to enhance their experience
Qualifications:
11. Extensive pastry experience with a strong background in baking, Viennoiserie, food production, and food preparation
12. Proven leadership skills in a culinary environment, preferably within the food industry or restaurant setting
13. Demonstrated expertise in culinary techniques such as knife skills, food handling, and food safety practices
14. Experience in food industry operations including catering or restaurant experience is highly desirable
15. Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
16. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
