Management Accountant
Location: Oakham, East Midlands
Salary: 50,000– 60,000 DOE

Overview
Our client is a leading industrial business with international reach is seeking a highly capable and commercially focused Management Accountant to take ownership of UK financial operations. This is a hands–on, strategically important role, reporting directly to the UK Managing Director and working closely with the Group Finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong manufacturing or industrial experience who thrives in a fast–paced, growth–focused environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reporting.
* Lead the month–end close process and coordinate with auditors for year–end reporting.
* Oversee VAT, HMRC compliance, Intrastat, and other regulatory filings.
* Provide detailed analysis of product and customer profitability, advising on margin improvement.
* Manage and mentor a small team
* Support strategic planning, including budgets, forecasts, and international investment models.
* Contribute to business acquisition activity, including financial modelling, feasibility studies, and due diligence support.
* Take responsibility for credit control, purchase ledger, and cash management.
* Ensure robust internal controls and continuous process improvement.
* Collaborate with senior leadership on business plans and cost–modelling initiatives.
Experience required:
* Fully or part qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent).
* Sector experience within manufacturing, engineering or industrial
* Proven experience in financial reporting, cost analysis, and profitability modelling
* Familiarity with production processes, Bill of Materials, and variance analysis.
* Proficient in accounting systems (e.g. Sage, SAP) and Excel–based modelling.
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence key stakeholders.
