WHAT IS INVOLVED? Join our Business Services team and play a key role in supporting the Council’s Health and Safety Compliance function. This is a varied and rewarding position where you’ll provide high-quality administrative support to ensure our Compliance Team can operate efficiently and effectively. Working within the Council’s hybrid model, you’ll be primarily based at Meadowfield Depot, with travel to other sites across County Durham as required. Key responsibilities include: Delivering a wide range of administrative support, including handling sensitive and confidential information for the Compliance Team. Acting as the first point of contact, offering clear information and guidance, and signposting colleagues to relevant policies and procedures. Supporting the planning and delivery of compliance programmes and work schemes. Ordering, tracking, and monitoring equipment for compliance teams. Organising Senior Management meetings via SharePoint/Teams, including preparing documents, circulating agendas, taking notes, and providing meeting administration. Managing your workload effectively to meet deadlines and service targets. Creating, updating, and collating data using PowerPoint, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs for internal and external stakeholders. Assisting with research and best-practice activities, maintaining accurate manual and electronic records. You’ll need an NVQ Level 3 in Administration (or related management support subject) and previous experience in an administrative role.
