* Working Hours: 10am-6pm, Monday-Friday. You are required to work 1 bank holiday at Easter and 1 in May.
* Contract: Permanent
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Manager to join our Distribution Centre where you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day activities within a busy warehouse environment.
You will be responsible for managing a team of Distribution Operators across all areas of Distribution including Putaway, Replenishment, Pick, Pack, Marshalling and Despatch. You will have responsibility for achieving daily deadlines, service requirements and ensuring the Distribution Centre remains compliance.
Working hours: You will work 10am-6pm, 37.5 hours a week, Monday-Friday.
Here is what you can expect to be doing:
* Leading, mentoring and developing a team of distribution operatives
* Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team huddles to set clear objectives and drive a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
* Ensure all team members adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
* Reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing data to identify trends, and implementing solutions to improve operational metrics
* Ensure departmental compliance with all regulatory requirements particularly those relating to Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
* Lead Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
What you’ll need to succeed:
* Knowledge of warehousing processes and an understanding of health and safety
* Knowledge of operational controls in a Distribution Centre
* Proven experience of managing a team
* Proven experience of working within a Good Distribution Practice environment
* Can maintain a consistent high level of accuracy, concentration and attention to detail whilst working under pressure
* Have good organisation and problem-solving skills
* Can provide clear support, guidance and direction to the team
* Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team in a busy environment
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be numerate and literate
* Experienced in managing investigations and understanding root cause to support safety and process improvements
