About the Tax Department:
The Tax department works with a variety of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, large corporates, and not-for-profit entities. With an international presence, the team provides compliance services for complex clients and undertakes advisory projects. The department is unified nationally and open to candidates based in locations such as Cambridge, Norwich, Bishop’s Stortford, or Peterborough.
In this role, you will be part of a dedicated Corporate Tax team managing a portfolio of business clients. The focus will be on complex corporate tax compliance for large UK and international companies and groups. Opportunities for advisory assignments, such as corporate reorganizations, business acquisitions, tax due diligence, and R&D tax projects, are also available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing work-in-progress and client costs
* Planning assignments, supervising junior staff, reviewing their work, and providing feedback
* Handling tax compliance and advisory tasks requiring final review
* Offering effective tax advice to clients, directly and through team members
* Staying informed on relevant legislation and compliance standards, applying them to client situations
* Supporting proposals and presentations to potential clients
Desired Experience:
* CTA qualification with at least two years of post-qualified experience
* A tax background including both compliance and advisory work
* Experience handling tax advisory assignments in recent roles
* Managing a client portfolio and providing tax planning advice
* Strong communication and report-writing skills
