Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic and/or MOT tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using both hand and power tools. This role is essential for maintaining and repairing various machinery and vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The Mechanic will play a crucial part in diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions to keep our operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
* Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
* Diagnose mechanical issues accurately and efficiently.
* Repair or replace faulty components using appropriate tools and techniques.
* Maintain detailed records of repairs, services, and inspections performed.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
* Adhere to safety protocols while working in the workshop or on-site.
* Keep the work area clean and organised, ensuring all tools are stored properly after use.
Skills
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various mechanical systems.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
* Experienced in operating power tools including drills, grinders, and saws.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Hours & Pay
8am to 5pm Mon- Fri. And, if you are able, Saturday as overtime.
This role is available as self-employed or employed.
The salary is dependent on experience.

Pay: £26,858.11-£41,822.10 per year
