Lead Site Engineer – Commercial Solar PV
PV Plus is growing, and we’re looking for a Lead Site Engineer to join our team delivering commercial solar projects across London and the South.
This role is focused on commercial installations only and will suit someone who is technically strong, confident on site and takes real pride in delivering high-quality work.
As Lead Site Engineer, you will act as the technical lead on site, helping ensure our projects are installed safely, correctly and to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
* Leading and coordinating installation engineers on site, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high technical standard
* Installing, wiring and commissioning commercial solar inverter systems
* Taking full responsibility for system commissioning and performance verification, ensuring installations operate correctly before handover
* Diagnosing and resolving AC and DC faults, providing technical support during installation and maintenance activities
* Carrying out final quality assurance inspections and formally signing off completed systems to confirm compliance with company and industry standards
* Supporting project managers with on-site technical expertise, helping ensure projects run smoothly from installation through to commissioning
* Ensuring all installations comply with BS 7671, MCS standards and DNO requirements, including G99 testing where required
* Acting as the senior technical presence on site, setting the standard for workmanship, safety and professionalism across the installation team
Qualifications
* Has solid experience in commercial solar PV
* Is confident leading engineers on site
* Is strong technically and comfortable commissioning systems
* Takes pride in completing projects properly and safely
* Wants to grow and develop within a forward-thinking company
PV Plus delivers a wide range of commercial solar installations, including large rooftop systems and biosolar projects on green roofs.
As the business continues to expand, this role offers clear progression opportunities. We see this position developing into a full Site Supervisor role, with further opportunities as the company grows.
