About the Role
We’re looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. You’ll play a key role in the full product lifecycle—from concept and design to manufacturing and continuous improvement—working on complex scanning systems used in critical security environments.
What You’ll Do
* Design and develop mechanical components including fabricated structures, sheet metalwork, machined parts, and hydraulic systems.
* Create general arrangement and assembly drawings, along with detailed bills of materials.
* Ensure mechanical designs integrate seamlessly with electrical and system components.
* Participate in design reviews, project kick-offs, and customer meetings.
* Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through our document control system.
* Collaborate with global teams in the US (Boston) and India (Hyderabad), uploading designs into our PLM system.
What We’re Looking For
* HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent industry experience).
* Strong experience in designing large, fabricated products and electro-mechanical assemblies.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential; experience with Autodesk Inventor is a plus.
* Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Agile) is beneficial.
* Background in design for manufacture and production environments.
* Solid understanding of engineering calculations and their practical application.
