Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - PR25 Area
Location: PR25Start Date: September 2026Contract: Long-Term PositionHours: Full-Time, Term Time OnlySalary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive school in the PR25 area from September.
This long-term opportunity is ideal for an experienced HLTA looking for their next challenge. It is also an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who would like to gain additional classroom experience, develop their teaching skills, and build confidence before securing a permanent teaching position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher
* Support teaching and learning across a range of year groups
* Work with individual pupils and small groups to raise attainment
* Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment activities
* Promote positive behaviour and create an engaging learning environment
* Support pupils with varying learning needs to achieve their full potential
Requirements:
* HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
* Previous experience working within a primary school setting
* Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
