The Role: This is an exciting and varied entry-level role, giving you the opportunity to work hands-on across a breadth of different verticals (optics, electronics, vacuum), our products and help to create an optimised lab environment to turbo-charge our capabilities. What You'll Do: Support small batch production Aquark products Support Research and development into Quantum technologies Source components and build supplier relationships Help maintain a tidy and safe work place Write documentation for production and training Promote Aquark through industrial and academic meetings Support writing of journal articles and white papers Develop internal production processes Help design and build optical, electronics and vacuum systems Write code for automation and analysis Test and evaluation of products and subsystems What we are looking for: Undergrad degree in physics or engineering (2.2 and above) Keen and experienced with laboratory experimental work Fast learner and self motivated/pro-active Experience in coding for control and data analysis (ideally Python) Excellent written and verbal skills Tidy and organised Comfortable with working on small components Team player What we offer: Companywide milestone bonus scheme 26 days annual leave full salary-based pension contribution Flexible core hours Regular team outings, training & knowledge-sharing sessions Half-day knowledge-building every 2 week About Us: At Aquark Technologies, we’re shaping the future of quantum sensing and cold atom technology.
